The annual Khajuraho Dance Festival celebrated in the months of February/March with performances by the Indian classical dancers is a true feast. The temples form the ideal background for the occasion. The festival of Mahashivratri is worth more than participation at Khajuraho. Local handicrafts, silver goods and brassware make good souvenirs from Khajuraho.
