The estate has a meadow that attracts deer, which come soon after sunset. One can take a convenient walk in the Reserve's forest for bird watching, as the entire place is flourishing with fruit-trees. As darkness falls, in the peace and tranquility of the night and under the wonderful canopy of a galaxy of stars, one can hear various animals call- including the alarm-call of the deer, the howling of jackals, or the occasional roar of a tiger. The lodge has a library with large collection of wildlife books and magazines. TV & Video for wildlife films, Recreational Centre, Indoor Games, Wildlife Excursions (on Jeeps and, when available, on elephants), Nature walks and on request - Village visits (for weekly markets and local fairs) may be enjoyed.

City Information

Bandhavgarh National Park is located around 195 km off Jabalpur and 210 km off Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh. Considered as the crown in the wildlife heritage of Madhya Pradesh, Bandhavgarh is known for the Royal Bengal Tigers, cheetals, leopard, gaur, sambhar, and many more faunal species. Bandhavgarh National Park is nestled in the Vindhya mountain range of Central India full of hills and reverines. Though, very small in comparison to Kanha or other parks of Madhya Pradesh, the park hosts almost the same number of tigers or any other wildlife animal. Apart from tigers and leopards, Bandhavgarh is also extremely productive for medium-sized bison herds.
