Introduction

Welcome to RANJIT'S SVAASÁ
where old bold trees create the skyline;
herbal, scented plants adorn the façade;
water trickles along the walkway;
yogacise at your personal terrace;
day ends amidst the aromas of your choice;
fireflies twinkle in the darkness of nights;
and tranquility tucks you in bed.

RANJIT'S SVAASÁ is an 18th century colonial heritage mansion that is over 250 years old and situated on The Mall in Amritsar. Operated by the SVAASÁ group of companies that has been established with the purpose of promoting self-preservation and health awareness through tourism and hospitality, this Heritage Spa Resort is its flagship project.

In spirit with Amritsar's rich historic and religious importance, this Spa Resort housed in an over 250 year old Colonial Royal Heritage, sprawled over 3500 square yards of lush flora and located centrally on the elite Mall Road lends to the town and its guests a sense of nature, culture and warmth.

The Heritage has housed guests from overseas & other royalties hosted by Rai Bahadur Rattan Chand & his decendents. Cherishing their blessings & upholding their traditions, their heirs, the three young brothers, Iqbal Rattan, Vishal Chand & Abhimanyu Rattan, have enjoyed restoring this gifted heritage into an articulate peaceful Spa Resort, the first of it's kind in North India, as a tribute to their late grandfather and father.

A loving respect to our body and mind catered through the various facilities at the Spa also extends towards nature and is thoroughly spread in the ecology friendly restoration and architecture of the Resort. One can still see embedded within its 18 inch thick walls the 'Nanak Shahi' bricks typical of the colonial era. Upon careful observation one realizes that the original architecture of the Heritage was in accordance with the Indian Vastu Science. A deliberate effort has been made to maintain the Vastu architecture of the building during restoration so as to keep the energy flows peaceful and balanced.

Rain water harvesting, water heating using solar thermal energy, and planting of fresh trees and herbs to enhance the ecology are only examples of the various means used to preserve natural resources. Energy friendly construction at the resort has also incorporated nouveau techniques such as using hollow terracotta roofing bricks and terracotta channels for over 1500 square feet of roofing providing thermal insulation and thereby serving to conserve energy throughout the year.
